闫卫平,广西大学数学与信息科学学院教授,博士生导师,研究方向为微分方程与动力系统。在包括Calc. Var. PDE, J. Geometric.Analysis, Nonlinearity, Bulletin. Math. Sci, J. Differential. Equations等期刊发表SCI论文30余篇。美国数学会《Mathematical Reviews》评论员,主持完成多项国家级和省部级自然科学基金项目。
摘要:In this talk, we concern with the singularity phenomenon of timelike extremal hypersurfaces in Minkowski spacetime.The typical explicit example of timelike extremal hypersurfaces with lightlike singularities is the self-similar spheres.It begins to expand until it starts to shrink and eventually collapses to a point in a finite time. We show that this singularity phenomenon is nonlinearly stable in the backward lightcone.
