Abstract:In control theory, we are interested mainly in investigating asymptotic stability of systems. In this talk explicit Runge–Kutta methods are investigated for numerical solutions of nonlinear ODEs with known strict Lyapunov functions. In order to increase stability properties, a modified version of explicit Runge–Kutta methods is presented. The modified Runge–Kutta method is explicit. It is different from the projection methods in literature which are implicit. Comparing with the standard Runge–Kutta method, the modified Runge–Kutta one has better stability properties. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the modified Runge–Kutta method.

胡广大,教授,博士,上海大学教授、博导,上海海关学院特聘教授。研究领域: 1.控制系统设计的数值最优化方法; 2. 大数据分析与处理;3.微分方程的数值分析。在IEEE Trans. Automatic Control, IEEE Trans. Signal Processing, International Journal of Control,BIT Numeral Mathematics,J. Comput. Appl. Math.,Linear Algebra and its Applications,Siberian Mathematical Journal等国际SCI杂志上发表论文70多篇。主持国家自然科学基金5项和教育部博士点基金1项。
