Academic Research

My research interests lie primarily in the field of metaphors, with a focus to date on metaphoric competence and its relationship to L2 learning and teaching. The ability to acquire, produce, and interpret metaphors in the target language is important for language learning and it is significantly related to the holistic cognitive style.
