At 18:00 on March 6, 2025, the School of International Education held an interesting HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) promotion seminar for international students.
The seminar was presented by Director Liu Yue and Teacher Sha Cheng of the Teaching and Research Office for Chinese and Foreign Language Cultures. The event took place simultaneously at the Longzihu and Huayuan campuses. At the Huayuan campus, the seminar was mainly delivered to international students majoring in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and civil engineering, while at the Longzihu campus, the seminar was mainly delivered to international students majoring in international trade and computer science.

During the seminars, two lectures mainly emphasized three aspects. Firstly, they highlighted the significance of the HSK exam for international students' studies, job hunting, and personal development, especially its necessity for graduation assessment. Secondly, they introduced the registration process for the HSK exam, and the fee standards and question types for different levels of the exam. Thirdly, they provided information and contact details of the NCWU test center. Finally, they answered questions raised by international students on the spot. In their explanations, they combined their years of teaching experience and exam examples to analyze the key and difficult points of the exam in a simple and understandable way, offering students practical advice for exam preparation.

This seminar not only helped international students better understand the HSK exam but also provided them with targeted guidance, significantly boosting their confidence in taking the exam. After the seminar, students expressed that they had benefited a lot and thanked the two teachers for their patient explanations.
