Major Features:The major of energy and power engineering (thermal energy) was originated from the major of power plant thermal energy and power engineering which was founded in 1985. It was merged with the major of water conservancy and hydropower engineering into the major of thermal energy and power engineering in 2000. In 2012, it was renamed as the major of energy and power engineering.With distinctive characteristics of power generation, complete knowledge system of generator、boilerandelectrical control, covering energyconservationand pollutant control technology, a large number of high-level talents havebeen trained for thermal power、nuclear power、renewableenergy power、energy clean utilization and other fields. It has made outstanding contributions to China 's powergenerationindustry and enjoys a high reputation.
