MS.An Xiaoyu, an Associate Professor, is a distinguished member of the Henan Province Translation Association and the China Cross-Cultural Communication Association. Her primary research focuses span translation studies, cross-cultural communication, and foreign language teaching. She has contributed to a national social science fund project titled "Study on the English Translation of Chinese Philosophical Classics."
She has played a pivotal role in over ten provincial-level scientific research projects, including "A Survey Study on the Cross-Cultural Communication Competence of Henan Tourism Practitioners," "A Survey Study on the Cross-Cultural Communication Competence of University Faculty," "Research on the ‘Cross-Cultural’ Development Strategy of Henan’s Tourism Industry," and "Construction and Application Study of Cross-Cultural Communication Case Database under the ‘Belt and Road’ Initiative."
Furthermore, she has directed and participated in five Henan Provincial Graduate Education Reform and Quality Improvement Project initiatives, including "Cross-Cultural Communication Case Database," "Public Graduate English," "Specialized Foreign Language," "Research and Practice on the Construction of ‘Gold Courses’ for Graduate Students," and "Exploration and Practice in Cultivating Innovative Talents in MTI Professional Degree Graduate Programs." She has also been involved in nearly ten provincial-level educational reform projects, receiving five department-level teaching achievement awards.
She has authored over twenty academic papers, published four scholarly books, and contributed to one graduate English textbook. An Xiaoyu primarily teaches Public English for Master’s and Doctoral students.
