To thoroughly implement NCWU's goal of building a "Double World-class Project", further strengthen the teaching management of foreign teachers and international students, and improve the quality of international education and talent cultivation, on August 25, Vice President Li Yanbin led a team to conduct new semester teaching supervision by observing classes taught by foreign teachers and for international students, conducting on-the-spot investigations on classroom teaching status and effectiveness.
Li Yanbin pointed out that foreign teachers were an important pillar for NCWU to promote the construction of internationalized courses and the cultivation of foreign language talents. They should continuously give play to their linguistic and cultural advantages, innovate teaching methods, and help students achieve "dual improvement" in practical language skills and international communication capabilities. He emphasized that international student education was a key component of NCWU's internationalized school-running. We must adhere to the student-centered approach, continuously optimize the curriculum system, strengthen the cultivation of basic natural science knowledge and cross-cultural integration capabilities, and provide higher-quality educational resources and development platforms for international students to succeed.
Li Yanbin stated that strengthening the teaching management of foreign teachers and international students was a crucial measure for NCWU to deepen internationalized school-running and promote the construction of "Double World-class Project". We need to further improve the management mechanism, enhance service guarantees, and promote the refined and standardized development of international education. NCWU would continue to strengthen the teaching quality supervision, advance educational and teaching reforms, empower talent cultivation and discipline development with high-level international education, and contribute to accelerating the construction of a distinctive high-level university of water resources and electric power.
