On the morning of June 14, the 2025 Graduation & Degree Awarding Ceremony of School of International Education (Ural Institute) was held in the arts and sports hall of the Huayuan Campus. This important moment was witnessed jointly by Dean Li Hu of School of Human Settlement Science and Design, Dean Liu Wenxia of School of Foreign Studies, Executive Dean Li Haihua of School of Ecological Environment, Executive Dean Hu Qingfeng of School of Surveying and Geo-informatics, Dean Zhao Yang of School of Civil Engineering and Transportation, Vice Dean Wei Huaibin of School of Management and Economics, Processor Zhang Liping of School of Energy and Power Engineering, Party Committee Secretary Guo Guihai, Dean Li Shengji, Vice Dean Yan Jun and Zhou Yantao, teacher representatives, parents’ representatives and all Chinese and international graduates of Grade 2025 of School of International Education. This ceremony was presided over by Party Committee Vice Secretary Wang Shijia of the School of International Education.

   The ceremony began with the solemn national anthem.

Leaders of the School of International Education announced the outstanding graduate commendation decisions, doctoral, master's, and bachelor's degree awarding decisions, alumni association list, and model student list, and presented special gifts to the model students.

Wang Weiping, a representative of Grade 2025 graduates, delivered a speech on the stage.

Rahman MD Shaminur, an international graduate representative from Bangladesh, delivered a speech.

Ruan Xianghua, a representative of undergraduates, extended the warmest congratulations to the Grade 2025 graduates.

Zhang Yimeng, a teacher representative, presented the most sincere blessing to Grade 2025 graduates.

In his commencement address, Dean Li Shengji presented the graduates with “Three Keys”: “Blade of Breakthrough” for innovation, “Resilience of Rebirth” to confront setbacks, and “Poise of Accumulation” for sustained growth. He urged them to promote the spirit of “diligence, rigor, truth seeking and innovation”, absorb knowledge like sponges, grow towards the light like sunflowers, blend rationality with original intentions in their choices, and remember their care for society when pursuing success. He emphasized that “graduation is not an endpoint, but a start point of a new journey”. He hoped that the graduates would forge ahead as proud NCWU alumni in the waves of the new era to create a brilliant life like the starry ocean.

Party Committee Secretary Guo Guihai presented his best wishes for integrity to Grade 2025 graduates. Through four admonitions, he emphasized the significance of inheritance: from ancient figures like Zi Han, who rejected jade, and Yang Zhen, who refused gold, to modern models like Jiao Yulu and Kong Fansen, he urged the graduates to safeguard their inherent integrity. By offering guidance such as “beware of sugar-coated bullets”, “uphold the bottom line in small matters”, and “strive to be a leader in integrity”, he hoped that the students could build a defense line with details and disseminate integrity among youth. In these words of profound anticipation, he hoped that the graduates could advance steadily and righteously in their life journey.  

Leaders of the School of International Education adjusted crowns and turned tassels for the graduates, and posed for group photos.

With the school song drawing to an end, the graduation ceremony was concluded successfully.
