Confucius Institute at University College of Technology Sarawak
2019年10月，中国孔子学院总部与马来西亚砂拉越科技大学签署合作建设砂拉越科技大孔子学院的协议，合建学校是华北水利水电大学。2019年11月1日，华北水利水电大学与砂拉越科技大学在在河南广播电视台签署关于合作建设砂拉越科技大学（以下简称“砂科大孔院”）的执行协议签字仪式。砂科大孔院计划于2020年4月中旬举办揭牌仪式。
In October 2019, the Confucius Institute Headquarters(Han Ban) of China signed an agreement with University College of Technology Sarawak in Malaysia to cooperate in the construction of the Confucius Institute at University College of Technology Sarawak, and the cooperation university is North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power. On November 1, 2019, North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power and University College of Technology Sarawak signed a signing ceremony on the implementation agreement for the construction of University College of Technology Sarawak Confucius Institute(hereinafter referred to as “UCTS Confucius Institute” ) at Henan Radio and Television Station. The institute plans to hold the inauguration ceremony in Mid-April 2020.
砂科大执行协议签署后，砂科大孔院在2018年成立的“砂拉越科技大学汉语中心”的基础上，迅速开展相关工作。截止目前，砂科大孔院已针对砂科大在校学生开设了汉语选修课程，组织了1次中国汉语水平考试（HSK），举办了庆祝2020年农历鼠年新年系列活动，并正在拟定企业定制培训班的方案。
After the signing of the implementation agreement, UCTS Confucius Institute began to carry out the related work on the basis of the “Chinese Language Center of University College of Technology Sarawak” established in 2018. Up to now, UCTS Confucius Institute has offered optional courses in Chinese for students of the University College of Technology Sarawak, organized a Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK), held a series of activities to celebrate the 2020 Luna New Year, and is working on a program for customized training courses for enterprises.
砂科大孔院是是马来西亚的第5所孔子学院、东马的第2所孔子学院，是世界范围内第1所以水利水电特色的孔子学院。砂科大孔院采取孔子学院总部、砂拉越科技大学、华北水利水电大学、中外大型水电企业等多方合作的模式，充分发挥两所高校的人才优势、学科优势，以及中国水电企业在全球水利工程建设布局的资源优势，利用“汉语+”为推广中国语言文化、增进中马人民友谊搭建重要平台，为促进校企交流合作、服务当地经济社会做出应有贡献。
UCTS Confucius Institute is the 5th Confucius Institute in Malaysia, the 2nd Confucius Institute in East Malaysia, and the 1st Confucius Institute with water conservancy and hydropower characteristics in the world. UCTS Confucius Institute taking the model of multi-party cooperation between Confucius Institute Headquarters, University College of Technology Sarawak, North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, Large-scale hydropower enterprises in China and abroad. UCTS Confucius Institute has given full play to the talent and discipline advantages of the two universities, as well as the resource advantages of Chinese hydropower enterprises in the global water conservancy project, made use of “Chinese+” to promote the Chinese culture, and built an important platform for the friendship between the Chinese and Malaysia people, and to make due contributions to promoting exchanges and cooperation between schools and enterprises and serving the local economy and society.
