Recently, the "World Green Design Conference" hosted by the World Green Design Organization (WGDO) was held in Shanghai. With the theme "Green Design: A New Path to Sustainable Engineering," the conference revolved around topics such as green design, sustainable engineering, and green low-carbon cities, collectively exploring the global direction for a green future. NCWU team was awarded the "Green Design Engineering Award." This honor recognizes products that embody green design principles and actively apply green technologies, materials, energy, equipment, construction, and production methods to achieve recyclability, sustainability, and harmlessness, thereby contributing to the protection and improvement of the human living environment.

The project, "Design of Ecological Governance for the Yongding River: Theoretical Practice of Stepwise Ecological Restoration," submitted by NCWU, was successfully shortlisted and awarded the “Green Design Engineering Award" at the conference. This achievement fully demonstrates the high recognition of international authoritative institutions for NCWU's technical strength and practical effectiveness in the field of ecological restoration and green engineering.

The project has innovatively established a three-stage collaborative ecological restoration system encompassing "environmental remediation, ecological restoration, and natural recovery." It has proposed a theoretical framework and engineering methodology for stepwise ecological restoration, achieving remarkable results in restoring river ecosystem functions and enhancing watershed ecological service value. This theory has been successfully applied in multiple watershed ecological restoration projects, serving as a significant demonstration for China's watershed ecological governance and river-lake ecosystem protection. This award represents another major breakthrough for NCWU in the international green design arena, fully showcasing our comprehensive strength in ecological and environmental technological innovation, sustainable engineering practices, and ecological civilization development. It also contributes Chinese wisdom and the "NCWU Solution" to global ecological conservation and green development.

The conference brought together nearly 300 representatives from government departments, international organizations, renowned universities, and industry institutions across 35 countries.
