Delegation from University of Veracruz, Mexico Visits NCWU

On the morning of September 26, a delegation from the University of Veracruz, Mexico, led by Anibal Sotelo, Director of the China-Veracruz Research Center, along with researcher Miriam Sánchez and Representative Steven Sotelo in China, visited NCWU for an exchange. Vice President Li Yanbin warmly received the delegation in Meeting Room 5 of the Longzihu Campus and delivered a speech.


Vice President Li Yanbin extended a warm welcome to the delegation, highlighting NCWU’s educational characteristics, disciplinary strengths, and achievements in international cooperation. He emphasized the promising collaboration potential between the two universities in fields such as water resources and environmental science, expressing expectations for practical cooperation in joint research, professional training, and faculty-student exchanges.


Anibal Sotelo expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by NCWU and highly praised its achievements in the field of international exchange and cooperation. He stated that the China-Veracruz Research Center and the Mexico-Community with a Shared Future for Mankind Research Center have always been committed to promoting educational and academic collaboration between China and Mexico. He expressed the hope that through this symposium, a long-term and stable cooperative relationship could be established with NCWU, thereby creating a broader platform for faculty and student exchanges as well as research collaboration between the two institutions.


This visit not only built a bridge to deepen the friendship between the two universities but also injected new momentum into the collaborative development of Chinese and Mexican higher education institutions in the fields of education and culture. It holds positive significance for serving the country's diplomatic strategy and building a China-Latin America community with a shared future.


Officials and staff from the International Office, the School of International Education (Ural Institute), and the Latin American Studies Center attended the symposium.
