Professor Liang Qiuhua from Loughborough University, UK, Visits NCWU for Exchange and Discussion

On the morning of February 29, Professor Liang Qiuhua from Loughborough University, UK, visited our university for exchange and discussion. President Liu Junguo, Vice President Liu Xuemei, and relevant personnel from the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, Graduate School, School of Water Conservancy, and School of Water Resources attended the meeting.

At the seminar, President Liu Junguoextended a warm welcome to Professor Liang Qiuhua and his delegation. He introduced our university's history, educational features, the development of "Double First-Class" disciplines, talent training system construction, and international exchanges and cooperation. He emphasized that the university will seize the new opportunities presented by international education and place great importance on the construction and layout of an international talent cultivation system. Professor Liang Qiuhua introduced the relevant information about Loughborough University and expressed that the two universities will take the joint cultivation of postgraduate students as an opportunity to carry out substantive and comprehensive international cooperation. Both sides exchanged views and discussed joint cultivation programs for master's and doctoral degrees, international scientific research cooperation, and talent recruitment. They reached a preliminary cooperation intention. The two sides intend to launch a "1+2 joint master's degree program" in the near future, where our university's master's students can apply to study at Loughborough University in the UK for one year. Upon mutual recognition of credits and meeting graduation requirements, students will be awarded master's degrees from both universities.

After the meeting, Professor Liang Qiuhua and his delegation visited our university's History Museum.
