Recently, the first National College Students' Career Planning Competition Henan Provincial Finals, hosted by the Henan Provincial Department of Education, concluded successfully at the Longzihu Campus of Henan Agricultural University. Themed "Building Dreams in Youth, Guiding the Future by Career Planning" the main events of the competition included growth tracks, employment tracks, and college students' career development and employment guidance course teaching tracks. Our university was honored with the Outstanding Organization Award, one silver award in the Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Teachers' Teaching Skills Competition, and one gold and three bronze awards in the higher education student group.
The Henan Provincial Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Teachers' Teaching Skills Competition adopted a two-level competition system of school-level preliminary rounds and provincial-level finals, focusing on the effectiveness of the implementation of employment and entrepreneurship courses in universities and the teaching level of teachers. Our university organized experts in the Fundamentals of Innovation and Entrepreneurship course to carefully guide and evaluate the participating teachers. The teachers combined employment and entrepreneurship policies with teaching content to carefully prepare teaching outlines and designs. After an intense competition, Han Peng, a teacher from our university's School of Materials, won the silver award in the undergraduate group.
Since the launch of the first National College Students' Career Planning Competition, our university has set up three stages: preliminary, semifinal, and final rounds. The preliminary rounds were conducted within colleges and academies, while the semifinals and finals were held at the university level. Over 10,000 students registered for the competition. The university organized multiple thematic training sessions and on-site rehearsals, refining and optimizing the participants' works, highlighting their strengths, and exploring their characteristics. After the selection process through college preliminary rounds, school finals, and the Southern Henan sub-competition, Jiang Zhe from our university's School of Electrical Engineering won the gold award in the higher education group, while Liu Zihe from the Ural School, Yang Xin from the Environmental and Municipal Engineering School, and Li Yanchi from the Mechanical School won the bronze awards.
Our university will take this competition as an opportunity to further improve the teaching level and educational quality of employment and entrepreneurship guidance teachers, enhance the construction of employment and entrepreneurship guidance courses and teacher teams, and increase college students' awareness of career planning. The aim is to achieve the goals of promoting teaching, learning, and employment through competition, and to fully promote high-quality and comprehensive employment for graduates.
