On April 14, the 2024 "Integration of Industry, Science and Education" Innovation and Development Forum jointly sponsored by the International Scientific Exchange Foundation of China, the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education, Henan Talent Group Co., Ltd., Yellow River Laboratory (Henan) and other units were held in Pingyu Bestdr Infrastructure Hospital. The forum implements the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Two Sessions of the People's Republic of China this year, deepens the comprehensive reform of education, science and technology talents, promotes the "integration of vocational education and secondary education, integration of industry and education, integration of science and education", and cultivates new kinetic energy for the development of new productive forces.
Vice Governor of Henan Provincial People's Government Song Zhenghui attended and delivered a speech. Mayor of Zhumadian City Li Yueyong and Executive Vice President of the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education Song Min delivered speeches successively. President of Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education and former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education Lu Xin, Chairman of China National Committee on Large Dams and former Vice Minister of Ministry of Water Resources Jiao Yong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shandong University Ren Youqun, and heads of Henan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Provincial Department of Finance, Provincial Department of Transport, Provincial Department of Education, Provincial Department of Water Resources, Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Provincial Association for Science and Technology, Zhengzhou City, Zhumadian City, Hebi City, Xinyang City, Sanmenxia City, Zhoukou City, Huizhou Municipal Government and other relevant national ministries and commissions, relevant departments directly under the provincial government, as well as heads of scientific research institutes, associations, colleges and universities, well-known enterprises and relevant experts and scholars, totaling over 800 participants attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by the Chairman of the International Scientific Exchange Foundation of China, Chen Xi. Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Yang Xiumin, Wang Jiayao, Wang Jingquan, Liang Wenhao, Wang Hao, Zhong Denghua, Liu Jiaping (Xi'an), Du Yanliang, Ren Huiqi, Zheng Jianlong, Ding Lieyun, Wang Fuming, Deng Mingjiang, Li Huajun, Ma Jun, Du Xiuli, Xu Weilin, Hu Ya'an, Tang Hongwu, Liu Jiaping (Nanjing), Yin Yueping and Liu Hanlong, and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Li Hui were invited. In addition, 9 academicians of China's "Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering" participated in the video conference to jointly discuss the focus, difficulties and pain points faced by engineering science and technology innovation and talent training in the new era. They explored the development path of "integration of industry, science and education" and the paradigm of sharing platform construction exchanged experience gained in the first phase of the Yellow River Laboratory Pilot Base Project and discussed the key construction contents of the second phase of the project.
Song Zhenghui pointed out that "in recent years, Henan Province has deeply implemented the strategy of "innovation-driven, revitalizing the province through science and education, and strengthening the province through talents", made solid steps in building a national innovation highland and an important talent center, and achieved new results in the integration of industry, science and education. All attending academicians, experts and entrepreneurs are kindly encouraged to pay attention to Henan and deeply cultivate Henan, and contribute wisdom and strength to Henan's innovation-driven development, cultivation of new productive forces, and high-quality economic and social development."
Mayor Li Yueyong said that "in the process of promoting high-quality development, we insisted on "vigorously implementing the strategy of innovation-driven and giving priority to the development of education" as our primary focus of the "ten strategies" of our city, providing strong support for the construction of a modern Zhumadian City. All academicians, experts, and entrepreneurs are encouraged to focus on Zhumadian and introduce innovative resources and science and technology projects to Zhumadian so as to help construct a modern regional central city."
Vice President Song Min said in her speech that the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education has always actively promoted the integration of industry and education, served industry innovation, cultivated technical skills and talents that adapt to the transformation and application, and promoted the integration of vocational education into the scientific research chain and innovation chain. She said that the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education will continue to play a role as a bridge and link between the two main bodies of industry and vocational education. The Society will cooperate with the Bestdr Infrastructure Hospital to build an "industry and education integration" practice center integrating practical teaching, social training, real production and technical service functions, so as to cultivate high-tech skilled talents urgently needed in the front line of large civil engineering projects. It is hoped that with the support of all parties, Bestdr Infrastructure Hospital will not only explore and form the "Chinese model" of the integration of industry and education but also form the "Chinese experience" of the integration of vocational education and secondary education, the integration of industry and education, and the integration of science and education, so as to contribute to the construction of power in education and quality.
Academician Wang Fuming introduced the construction progress of the "integration of industry, science and education" platform. He introduced that the "Infrastructure Hospital" has broken the barriers of industries and disciplines, broken the walls of universities and enterprises, broken the boundaries of talent training, and broken the limitations of time and space. It fits the urgent needs of "integration of vocational education and secondary education, integration of industry and education, and integration of science and education" and the coordinated development of the "Trinity" - "education, science and technology, talents", contributing to the innovative development of "integration of industry, science and education". He said that the hospital would jointly build an industry-education integration practice center with the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education and sign contracts with universities, vocational colleges, enterprises, scientific research institutes and other units, so as to jointly explore the integration development path and share the paradigm of platform construction.

At the conference, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shandong University Ren Youqun, Chief Scientist of Power Construction Corporation of China Zhang Chunsheng, and President of China National Committee on Large Dams Jiao Yong, delivered speeches as representatives.
Academician Wang Hao delivered a report entitled Discussion on Several Issues of Water Security Guarantee in the Yellow River Basin. He said that increasing water and reducing sediment is the key to the systematic management of the Yellow River Basin. Engineering measures such as the cultivation of forest and grass vegetation, the construction of terraces, reservoir sediment interception, and siltation dams can intercept sediment from slopes, ditches, reservoirs, and other stages. He said that in view of the imbalance between the supply and demand of water resources in the Yellow River Basin, balanced development can be realized by implementing the water balance strategy of the Yellow River Basin and establishing a balanced relationship of multiple associations. He also pointed out that measures such as strengthening water source conservation in the whole basin, readjusting the Yellow River water allocation plan, improving the water network engineering system, and strengthening the two-way regulation and control of supply and demand can ensure the safety of water resources in the yellow river basin and support the implementation of major national strategies for the Yellow River.
Academician Ding Lieyun delivered a report entitled Developing New Productive Forces for Intelligent Construction and Cultivating Interdisciplinary Innovative Talents. He pointed out, taking intelligent technology as the core, intelligent construction could realize self-sensing, self-learning, self-decision-making and self-control through the whole process of data-driven engineering construction. Intelligent construction will change the way building design, production, and construction are constructed, and it will promote the digital and intelligent development of the construction industry. He pointed out that the intelligent construction major needs to cultivate innovative interdisciplinary talents with knowledge of data-driven engineering and inter-disciplinary integration. He expressed the hope that colleges and universities could actively explore a new mode of training inter-disciplinary innovative talents, so as to provide talent support for industrial transformation and upgrading. Enterprises should embrace artificial intelligence and digital economy to seize new opportunities for industrial transformation and upgrading.
Ma Jun made a report entitled Planning and Progress of Green Low-carbon Eco-agriculture System Based on the Development of New Productive Forces. He pointed out that agricultural development is facing problems such as soil degradation caused by urban-rural material imbalance, non-point source pollution caused by intensive farming, overuse of fertilizers and pesticides, and microplastic pollution of plastic mulch. In response to these problems, he proposed the resource recycling technology of organic waste's pollution reduction and carbon reduction. He emphasized the importance of returning organic waste fertilizer to farmland, and built a bio-organic fertilizer and green planting demonstration field in the Bestdr Infrastructure Hospital to explore efficient, low-carbon, green and ecological modern agricultural operation modes. Finally, he also introduced the unpowered cooling insulation refrigeration technology of buildings with dustproof, waterproof, heat insulation and cooling effects and its application in buildings, bridges, granaries, cold storage and other fields.
Academician Yin Yueping made a report entitled Research on Large-scale Physical Simulation Test of Remote Geological Disasters at High Elevation of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. He said that remote geological disasters at high altitudes have the characteristics of large landslide volume, long sliding distance and wide range of influence. Through large-scale physical simulation experiments, the initiation mechanism, kinematic characteristics, accumulation process and complex multi-directional multi-body dynamics process of a remote landslide at high altitudes are deeply analyzed. He proposed early warning measures based on high-speed photography technology and seismic signal analysis, and pointed out that the impact force of landslide mass can be effectively reduced by constructing multi-level prevention and control projects such as check dam, pile forest dam and pile beam dam. He said that in the future, he will continue to deepen research, explore more efficient and economical prevention and control methods, so as to further improve the early warning and prevention capabilities of geological disasters, and ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
During the forum, Secretary of the Party Committee Wang Dubo, on behalf of our university, attended the signing ceremony of the Yellow River Laboratory (Henan) with Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute (International Joint Research Center of Water Science and Water Engineering), Tsinghua University (National Key Laboratory of Hydrosphere Science and Hydraulic Engineering), North China University of Water Resources and Hydropower and other cooperative units. President Liu Junguo attended the sub-forum activity of "Construction Plan of Phase II Project of Yellow River Laboratory Pilot Base". The forum has built a good platform for our university to cooperate with various scientific research institutes and enterprises, and is of great significance for promoting the "integration of industry and education, and the integration of science and education" of our university and helping the construction of the "Double First-Class Initiative".
