Professor Zhu Keqin, Ph.D. Supervisor of Tsinghua University, who enjoys the State Council Special Allowance and the title of Beijing Excellent Teacher, gave an academic lecture in NCWU named “ Mechanics, the Base of Modern Engineering Technology”. The lecture was hosted by Professor Zhao Shunbo, Director of Civil Engineering and Communication School. About 300 students and teaching staff from the School of Civil Engineering and Communication and the School of Water Conservancy attended.
Professor Zhu Keqin referred to the wonder and the importance of mechanics, leaded in the application of mechanics in our daily life, automotive industry, and aeronautics and space industry. Furthermore, he guided the students how to study mechanics effectively and answered their questions patiently. The audience were deeply impressed by his knowledge and insights.
