On November 7, Prof. Vernon Phoenix from University of Strathclyde, UK visited NCWU. Prof. Wang Tianze, Vice President of NCWU and the relevant departments met with the guest at Longzihu campus.

Vice President Wang Tianze warmly welcomed Prof. Vernon Phoenix and introduced the history of NCWU. Prof. Vernon Phoenix presented appreciation for Vice president Wang Tinaze’s warm reception and introduced University of Strathclyde and School of Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering in detail. Through in-depth discussion, Prof. Vernon Phoenix believed the two universities could cooperate in many fields.

Prof. Vernon Phoenix was invited to visit School of Environmental and Municipal Engineering and gave an academic report afterwards.

The communication between the two universities dates from 2015. Prof. Yang Shangtong, Prof. Alessandro Tarantino, and Ms. Rebecca Lunn have visited NCWU and given some academic reports for the students and teachers during this time. In September, 2016 and August 2017, President Liu Wenkai and Vice President Wang Tianze were invited to visit University of Strathclyde.
